Gasmet Technologies Joins the Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries Association (PIA)
Gasmet Technologies has been accepted as a member of the Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries Association (PIA). The membership enables Gasmet to actively contribute to the development of the sector and to bring its internationally recognized expertise to support Finnish defence and aerospace capabilities.
The Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries – PIA represents companies operating in Finland’s defence and aerospace sectors. The association promotes competitiveness, security of supply and international cooperation, while serving as a common advocacy body and collaboration forum for its members at both national and international levels.
Gas Analytics for Demanding and Safety‑Critical Applications
Gasmet develops gas analysis and measurement solutions designed for demanding operating environments, enabling authorities and the defence industry to identify gases rapidly and accurately. The solutions are used in the management of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) threats, as well as in first response and rescue operations. In addition, Gasmet’s technologies support the daily operations of safety authorities, research related to hazardous gases and the long‑term development of occupational safety.
Cooperation Strengthens National Expertise
“Measurement technology in defence and aerospace applications must meet exceptional requirements for reliability, performance and ease of use under demanding conditions. Membership in PIA is an important step for Gasmet in strengthening cooperation with domestic industry partners. We have supported safety for many years with Finnish high‑technology solutions internationally, and we look forward to the opportunities that closer collaboration with other actors will create,” says Jyrki Korpela, Director of Product Management at Gasmet Technologies.
“In CBRNE‑related customer relationships are based on highly confidential and close bilateral cooperation between customers and solution providers. Finnish companies have a strong reputation in this field, and we believe that by jointly offering more comprehensive solutions, we can further strengthen our position. We are proud to join the Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries Association,” says Johanna Lahti, Brand and Communications Director at Gasmet Technologies.
