Your privacy is important to Gasmet Technologies Oy. and its affiliates in the Gasmet Group of Companies (those under common control of Gasmet Technologies Oy.), hereinafter ” Gasmet “. Gasmet only collects, processes or discloses personal data necessary for the purposes stated in this Policy, and Gasmet only retains personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfill those purposes. This Privacy Policy, hereinafter “Policy”, discloses the information practices for this Gasmet web site, hereinafter (“Site”), including what type of information is collected and tracked, how it is used, and with whom it is shared. Gasmet collects and processes your personal data in accordance with applicable laws and this Policy.


Applicability of Policy

In addition to this Site, this Policy is applicable to all other Gasmet operated websites.

Types of personal data Gasmet processes

Gasmet collects and processes personal data on the contact persons of Gasmet’s clients. Personal data is collected from the use of this Site or directly from you through the registration process. The personal data collected and processed by Gasmet may include:

  • Contact details (e.g. name, email address, phone number);
  • Other information provided by you when you register to the partner extranet;

Gasmet may also receive personal data (including e.g. name and email) from marketing registers provided to Gasmet by third parties.

Gasmet collects and processes personal data for the following purposes:

Collection and processing of personal data is based on the legitimate interest of Gasmet to process the data due to you being the contact person of Gasmet’s client company.

Visitor identification

This Site can be used for informational purposes without informing Gasmet of your identity and without providing Gasmet any personal data.

However, Gasmet uses “cookies” in order to recognize a returning visitor as a unique user. Cookies are pieces of data stored on your computer’s hard drive, and not on this Site. Cookies themselves do not contain any personal data. The cookies placed by the Gasmet server or third party service providers are readable only by Gasmet, and cookies cannot access, read or modify any other data on a computer. By showing how and when our visitors use this Site or other Gasmet sites, Gasmet can continue improving them. Further, Gasmet tracks aggregate statistics, such as Internet protocol address, your computer’s operating system, your browser type and the address of any referring websites, and general information about this Site’s traffic patterns and related site information. Gasmet collects and processes personal data of Site visitors to create a personalized Site experience.

Transfer of personal data

Gasmet shall not provide your personal data to a third party without your permission, except when necessary for processing or fulfilling your order, including without limitation, providing necessary information to relevant finance-related companies, logistics and transport service providers and authorized sales and after-sales service providers, as well as responding to your requests or answering your inquiries, or as necessary for protecting Gasmet’s, its website users’ and/or the public’s rights, property and/or safety.

Gasmet may share personal data within the Gasmet Group of Companies for the purposes described in this Policy. For the purposes of the implementation of such marketing campaigns, Gasmet may transfer personal data to third party service providers.

Additionally, Gasmet may share your contact details and online behavior data, such as Site visits and e-mail click-throughs, with channel partners for the purpose of sales and marketing of Gasmet’s products and services.

Because Gasmet is committed to protecting your privacy, Gasmet does not engage in the practice of selling or trading personal data to third parties for their promotional purposes.

Gasmet may transfer your information both in and out of the European Union. Such transfers will be carried out in compliance with applicable laws and necessary safeguards. If Gasmet is compelled by law, court order or other judicial process to disclose any of your personal data to a court or a third party, Gasmet will attempt to give you prior notice using the contact information you have provided. You hereby authorize Gasmet to disclose any information collected of you for any of the above mentioned purposes, including without limitation, disclosing information in connection with an investigation of intellectual property infringements or other activity that is illegal or may expose Gasmet to legal liability.

Protecting personal data

Gasmet endeavors to take commercially reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access to and improper use of your personal data submitted to Gasmet.

Your rights

You may at any time exercise your right to request access to your personal data and/or right to have incomplete, incorrect, unnecessary or outdated personal data deleted or updated by contacting Gasmet. You also have the right to request restriction of, or object to, the processing of your personal data, where applicable. Please note that by requesting Gasmet to delete your personal data, Gasmet may not be able to provide you the products, services or information you have inquired or ordered.

Policy changes

Gasmet may change this Policy, or change, modify or withdraw access to this Site, or the content of this Site at any time with or without notice. The effective date of this version of this Policy has been posted above for your reference. If Gasmet changes this Policy that will result in a material, adverse change in the way Gasmet collects or processes your personal data, Gasmet will post a notice of such change on this Site.

Gasmet strives to solve any disagreements through negotiations but needs to point out that you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.


FTIR Spectrum Library

Gasmet provides a free downloadable mobile application FTIR Spectrum Library. Gasmet does not collect any personal information from the application that could be linked back to the user.

Data collection
We collect diagnostic data such as crash data and performance data. We collect and store crash stack traces and analytics information, activity data such as active users and sessions per user, the number of app starts and restarts. All data is stored up to 28 days.

Data use
We use data for “Analytics” and “Other Purposes”. “Other Purposes” means collecting crash reports to improve the stability of the mobile application.

Data linked to the user
The data collected by us is not linked with a user and does not contain any personal information.

We only collect information about the country of use of the device based on cellular data. This information is stored without reference to the user and is only used to display usage statistics in different regions.
