Field Service Engineer, Gasmet UK
At GASMET UK, we’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Field Service Engineer to join our team in the UK! Are you passionate about tackling technical challenges, delivering excellent customer service, and making a real impact with our valued customers? Then this could be the role for you.
What You’ll Do
As a Field Service Engineer, on completion of your initial factory and mentor-based training, your responsibilities will include:
- Workshop Based Activities: Repair, service and fault-find (to board level) GASMET’s state-of-the-art equipment.
- Site Based Activities: Travelling to sites all over the UK & Ireland, conducting Repairs, service and fault-find (to board level) GASMET’s state-of-the-art equipment.
- On Call 24/7 Rota: For key clients we operate a rota on call service 24/7 Service, so a willingness to cover this, once fully trained on a rota basis is essential.
- Problem-Solving: Diagnose technical issues and provide clear solutions, becoming a trusted advisor to our clients.
- Documentation: Accurately maintain and timely completion and issue of service and repair records.
- Represent GASMET in front of customers: our engineers are the face of the business.
Our ideal candidate:
- Holds a degree, HND, or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Has experience in electronics, ideally within instrumentation or an industrial environment.
- Has experience working with gas analysers / instrumentation, ideally within an industrial environment
- Has previous field service engineer experience (desirable but not essential).
- Has knowledge of gas analysers / instrumentation (an advantage, but not essential)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Is not afraid of heights – some work at height will be required, especially when dealing with our Fixed CEMS Units
- Hold a full UK driving licence (held for at least three years) with willingness to travel and flexibility for overnight stays.
- Has good IT Skills and command of English
- Is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Is resilient, organised, and can prioritise tasks effectively.
- Has a logical mindset and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
