AI & Data Specialist Role

Your work will connect data insights with everyday decisions. As Gasmet’s AI & Data Specialist, you’ll help identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and bring AI tools and automations into use where they make a difference. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to the development and rollout of our evolving AI strategy.

Success in this role depends not only on your technical expertise, but also on your ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from different backgrounds. Many of the challenges you’ll help solve may not come with ready-made processes or clearly defined requirements—so a proactive, patient, and people-oriented approach is essential.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to identify and implement AI and automation opportunities that support real business needs.
• Build and maintain automations within existing and new workflows, ensuring they are practical, scalable, and well-documented.
• Take ownership of the automation landscape, including version control, performance indicators, and compliance considerations.
• Help shape and translate Gasmet’s AI strategy into actionable solutions that support everyday work.
• Support teams in applying data and AI tools—and collaborate with R&D in innovating how we could use AI in our own products and technology.
• Promote responsible data use and contribute to the development of Gasmet’s data strategy.
• Grow both your own skills and Gasmet’s tech stack organically—starting simple and advancing as feasibility grows.
• Act as an enabler and trusted partner, helping others succeed through thoughtful, hands-on support.

Qualifications:

• Approximately 2 to 5 years of experience in software development, AI / prompt engineering, data science, or a related field (flexibility based on skills).
• A strong understanding of current AI and data analytics trends, coupled with a curiosity to learn and explore further.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and software integration principles.
• A pragmatic mindset to develop and validate innovative solutions effectively.
• Hands-on experience with software development is highly desirable.
• Enthusiasm for engaging with people to uncover challenges and a willingness to dive into technical details when needed.
• Ability to work with written and spoken English
