Gasmet’s GT5000 Terra Recognized at Future Forces Innovation Awards 2026
Gasmet GT5000 Terra, portable FTIR gas analyzer, was awarded third place at the Future Forces Innovation Awards 2026 in Prague.
The award recognizes innovative products and solutions presented at the Future Forces Exhibition & Forum, a leading international event for defense, security, and CBRNE professionals.
This year, 19 products were entered into the competition and evaluated by an independent jury of experts from industry, research, and professional practice, chaired by Major General Ostřížek.
The evaluation focused on three criteria:
- Innovation and Originality – 50%
- Practical Benefits and Applicability – 30%
- Technical Maturity and Readiness for Deployment – 20%
The Innovation Awards recognition highlights the growing importance of rapid and reliable gas identification in demanding operational environments
“We are proud to see GT5000 Terra recognized at Future Forces by an independent panel of experts,” said Darren Wyllie, Interim Managing Director at Gasmet Technologies. “Innovation has always been at the core of what we do. This recognition reflects the dedication of our teams and our commitment to developing solutions that help professionals identify and quantify unknown gases rapidly and accurately in the field.”
Future Forces also gave the opportunity to connect with professionals from across the defense and security community. Gasmet stand attracted strong interest throughout the exhibition, leading to valuable discussions about current challenges and future needs in gas detection and analysis.
The event also marked the broader availability of a new green enclosure option for GT5000 Terra, complementing the existing design for users operating in different environments.
Laboratory-grade gas analysis in the field
Designed for field use, GT5000 Terra brings laboratory-grade FTIR gas analysis outside the laboratory. The analyzer can measure up to 50 gases simultaneously in real time, identify unknown gases from the same measurement data, and access a library of more than 5,000 compounds.
This makes GT5000 Terra suitable for a wide range of applications, including CBRNE response, defense operations, hazardous incident assessment, and industrial safety.
“What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that the evaluation considered innovation together with practical benefits and deployment readiness,” said Anna Leino, Product Manager at Gasmet Technologies. “Our goal has always been to provide users with truly field-ready solutions that provide lab-quality sensitivity and selectivity. The discussions we had throughout the event confirmed the importance of real-time analysis of chemical threats and the need for solutions that can deliver actionable results directly in the field.”
